AKA....26 weeks and 1 day!!!!
Wow, it seems like the 2nd tri is flying by. I am so excited that I will be in the third trimester in a couple weeks. I had a close friend the other day ask me if "I was finally enjoying the pregnancy?" I forgot about all the worries I had for the first trimester and really didnt allow myself to enjoy it, but now I am enjoying every second I have with my little gymnast. :)
We have completed registries, and nursery furniture has been purchased. I have been in love with a certain nursery set since we started browsing and lo and behold the weekend that we decided to register the entire 3 piece set was on sale, plus if we bought it that weekend, we would get a $100 gift card for Babies R' Us....SCORE!!!!! we hadn't planned on buying all three pieces, but it was totally worth it for the sale price. We had a little drama with sales girl, saying it was out of stock, then calling us back the next day and trying to do it over phone....jacking that up, then we had to go all the way back to store, it wasn't in stock anymore...blah,blah,blah. Store manager was very nice and still honored the sale and gift card, and we eventually were able to order it this weekend. Slowly but surely, it is all coming together and there will be a baby here to fill the nursery before we know it.
How far along? 26 weeks 1 day
Total weight gain/loss: about 18 lbs up from my pre-pregnancy weight
Maternity clothes? Yep, since fall is approaching I am now in the market for a few pairs of pants and jeans.
Stretch marks? None... lets hope it stays that way :)
Sleep: Sleeping like a baby at night!!
Best moment this week: finalizing purchase of nursery furniture.
Movement: Baby is very active, I think I have a gymnast on my hands. Every hour I feel some sort of movement and around 10/11pm baby is very, very active...kicking, flipping and making my stomach jump.
Food cravings: Orange soda, not much else sounds good...really no apetite most days.
Gender: Unknown. Everyone is saying girl, only a few are saying boy. The only difficulty we have encountered so far is picking out a nice neutral nursery bedding set, I really haven't found one that I am in love with, so I think we are going to wait until after baby is born to get a set.
Labor Signs: Again...No thank you!!!
Belly Button in or out? still putruding and making imprints on all my cotton tees and the dark line is def. getting darker
What I miss: being able to work-out for more than 30 minutes, without feeling like I am going to pass out
What I am looking forward to: upcoming showers and spending time with old friends.
